Tamandari is constructed from natural materials featuring rammed earth bricks and timber, creating excellent insulation throughout the seasons. The house is built on one level making it easily accessible.

Timber ceilings and polished cypress floors are found in all the rooms providing an attractive appearance and being termite resistant. All windows have timber Venetian blinds and attractive wooden frames.

A north facing aspect is based on passive solar design, incorporating floor to ceiling windows in many of the rooms to allow for full sun in the winter which warms the mud bricks & releases heat in the evenings. The roof is zincalume steel with three roof vents and roofing insulation.
